Home is where your heart is.....or where your monogram is!!

Check out this NC shirt, complete with a monogram. It is finished with a "raggy edge" which means it doesn't have a smooth set of satin stitches outlining the design. Instead the applique fabric has a hip, worn look.

I chose to use 2 fabrics to complete the design but it could be done with one.

Here are some possibilities for monograms....I think the bottom hem style is an excellent choice for us "grown ladies"....subtle yet still fun!!

I did this sweatshirt for myself this winter too. It has a 5 inch (re: HUGE) monogram and I get so many compliments on it!

3 Letter Monograms

I love to monogram anything and everything. When I got my embroidery machine, someone joked that I would monogram anything that stayed still long enough for me to grab it!!

Take a look at these 3 letter monogram samples. Keep in mind that styles 3-6 can be done with just about any font available.

I also have this GREAT 5 inch font that is perfect for larger projects, like an adult sweatshirt or a tote bag.  Here is a picture of one of my sweatshirts.

Initial Appliques

I love adding a simple initial to a shirt to give it a little pizazz....Here are 2 examples of what I can do.

#1: Letter Applique

Super simple and super cute. This is a "girls" font. A "boy" font is also available.

#2: Applique frame with initial

Here is another example. This one is an appliqued frame (actually 2) and then an embroidered initial.

Welcome to Paisley Jayne designs!!

Over the next few weeks, I plan to get this storefront ready for business.  The plan is sell a few cute creations to share my love for all things monogrammed and appliqued!  I'm not a professional seamstress or even a professional crafter and my prices will reflect just that. But I love to make my daughter and myself things and wanted to pass the fun along to you.

I'll start with the usual....shirts, towels, etc.... and who knows what the future might hold. I'd love to eventually sell some of my daughter's smocked clothes here too!
